Attractions in Colorado and Nearby States

There are plenty of beautiful things to see in Colorado and nearby states. You can get to Mt. Rushmore within 5-6 hours of Denver, as well as Custer State Park in South Dakota and Devil's Tower in Wyoming.

COLORADO ATTRACTIONS

Here are some pictures taken of downtown Denver in late fall near sunset. The colors aren't great but is an interesting angle on the city that I haven't seen often.

Rocky Mountain National Park (near Estes Park)

Rocky Mountain National Park is phenomenal. We went camping here with a group from our church and had camped on the edge of it a couple years ago with a two other families.

SOUTH DAKOTA ATTRACTIONS

Mt. Rushmore

We had a great time at Mt Rushmore. The whole experience was amazing and we learned a lot. It was less than 6 hours from Denver to get to Mt. Rushmore. Along the way we probably saw 100 antelope and some interesting topography. We stayed in Cedar Rapids during our short vacation.

Custer State Park

Custer State Park is right near Mt. Rushmore and Cedar Rapids. There's tons of wildlife as well as beautiful rock formations and greenery.

WYOMING ATTRACTIONS

Devil's Tower

Devil's Tower is just a couple hours from Mt. Rushmore and about 6 hours north of Denver. There are plenty of other places to visit in Wyoming, including Cheyanne and Yellowstone National Park.
